The goal of the Casita Reads program is to nuture a love of independent reading and to encourage daily reading as a lifestyle choice.

Students read books and record their choices on the Reading Log. Students may record books read by them or books read by a parent, sibling or learning partner. Prizes are earned for each station reached up to Station 6.

All students reaching Station 8 will receive a a reading "gold" medal.

All participants reaching Station 16 will receive a Casita Reads T-shirt.

All participants surpassing Station 24 receive a trip to the Casita Reads Treasure Chest.
